Back to the photographs……
The title of this image is “The Spirit of Peace in Woodstock”and I am dedicating it to Rick Danko.
The image on the left was taken with Instagram for Android the one on the right was taken with a Fuji Z5 then blended with the image from Instagram in photoshop.
The main image was taken on Tinker Street in Woodstock, NY. It’s always been one of my favorite towns in Upstate New York. There is an energy there that I have never experienced anywhere else in all my travels.

I created this blog primarily as an outlet for my cell phone photography and to explore the possibilities of the cell phone camera, which by the way can be quite amazing. 99.99 percent of the photography was created by me and is original with the exception of this photograph. I just wanted to share that out of all the photographs I have seen of this man, this is one that I wish I had taken. Most of the photographers that have captured him have done a fair job but they couldn’t quite grasp his spirit. I’m sure a lot of people would disagree, but as a professional photographer this photograph speaks to me. The lighting, the mood and the overall spirit of the photograph was executed excellently. Of course, the quality is more than likely not as good as the original, but it’s excusable. The one thing that this photograph illustrates is what I strive for as a professional, to catch that one moment that is real and most represents the person’s spirit. The man in the photograph is Rick Danko. He once said that performing was his therapy and to me this photographer, (who is unknown to me otherwise I would give credit where credit is due), captured that moment of utter peace of mind, body and soul. He looks very much at peace and living in the moment as if there is nothing else in the world except the music. I just wanted to share my feelings about this photograph because it is beautifully executed and my hope is that I can achieve capturing my clients, friends and family in a similar way. Rick Danko is a beautiful man physically but his spirit and soul are even more beautiful. I feel this photograph represents that in a wonderful way.
Thank you for letting me share and peace to you, Rick Danko.
